Proverbs 13:20, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”
Sometimes people become offended with hurt feelings toward someone or an organization, and to make themselves feel better they will attack that person or group. It's been rightly said that you cannot judge a person by what people say about them, but you can judge someone by how they respond to their critics. Having said that, I am not out to get Pensacola Christian College (PCC). Their Campus Church pastors and leadership have hurt my feelings with their insensitive rude remarks, woeful lack of compassion, narrow-minded bigotry, lack of concern and by giving me the silent treatment (which is a form of abuse). However, God knows my heart that I am not writing this blog to seek revenge. Please hear me out dear reader.
It is amazing what potent truth is contained in a single Bible verse. We read in Hebrews 4:12b that “the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Yes, the Word of God most certainly is powerful dear friend!!! The inspired Word of God is the most powerful force in the universe. Only the ungodly newsmedia comes second!
We read in our text passage from Proverbs 13:20, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” This biblical principle is very plain and simple to understand—You won't become in 5-years what you decide to be, you'll become what you decide to be around. The company we choose to keep reveals and further shapes our character. The Old Testament Bible book of Proverbs has a lot to say in admonition of choosing to be in the company of bad friends (fools).
Our text Bible verse from Proverbs 13:20 warns that to be a companion of fools brings destruction. If you doubt this truth, consider David's son, Amnon, who was coached by his ungodly friend Jonadab to sexually violate his half sister named Tamar. After having forced carnal relations with his half sister, it seemed only proper to Tamar that they should get married. Unfortunately, Amnon was a creep who hated Tamar after what he did to her, likely because she was now and forever a constant reminder of his evil deed. 2nd Samuel 13:3, “But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man.” The Bible says Jonadab was a subtle man. He was a low-life conniving person. Be careful about trusting subtle people, who pretend to be your friend and have your best interests at heart, only to betray and then abandon you in the end.
Another serious issue at PCC is their woeful lack of love and compassion for individual people. You may not heed my wisdom now, but you and your teenager will rue the day in the future that you failed to listen to me. PCC leaders and their Campus Church pastors are lawyer types, yuppies, not God-fearing men and women. If they truly feared God, then they wouldn't so easily throw people like me under the bus. The sad fact of the matter is that I have an email dated for August 2, 2022 in which Pastor Jeff Redlin banned me from attending Campus Church. It didn't matter to them that I apologized for offending and criticizing them, that I offered to do whatever they require to make peace with PCC, and that I offered to remove and stop criticizing them anymore. But my promise was CONDITIONAL upon them agreeing to let me come back to Campus Church. They refused, and so we are still enemies.
Campus Church puts forth a superficial insincere slogan: “Loving God! Loving People!” What liars at PCC! They in fact DON'T love God or people in the PCC camp. That's not to say that there aren't some loving people who attend PCC, but sadly PCC infects people adversely with a cold-hearted spirit of indifference and woeful lack of concern. When people are forbidden to attend Campus Church, that is hatred, not God's love or forgiveness. Any so-called forgiveness that doesn't include a plan of restoration is bogus and false. PCC are very superficial. That is, they talk the talk, but they do not walk the walk. PCC is a cult, sad to say, of snobbish married people who esteem themselves BETTER than everyone else, especially those who are divorced, like me. Pastor Jeff Redlin sinfully patronized me when I attended Campus Church in 2021 for several months. SHAME on Campus Church and PCC for sanctioning that type of heathen mentality and behavior.
Please parents, do not send your impressionable son or daughter to PCC, unless you want them to graduate a few years years as a superficial type of shallow Christian, who merely goes through all the motions of playing church as a game, exploiting Christendom for one's own financial gain. That is exactly what is going on at PCC today. Listen to their own angry alumni...
“Don't go here if you're a Christian; they don't actually follow the Bible. They just use it as an excuse to treat people like trash.” —Danielle Tate (2016)“This institution did more to harm my personal development than any other. As a 38 year old professional, I still bear the scars of how I was treated by this harsh, unloving, uncaring college.” —Greg S (2015), a former abused PCC student“17 years later and I'm still shaking off the trauma. So many extra-biblical rules it'll make your head spin. Great place for Pharisaical training if your into that. The rule book has more rules than the Bible.” —Jorn Anderson (September 2022), former mistreated PCC student“Pcc is the worst school ever. It was a complete waste of my time and money. They kicked me out for going to the wrong Sunday school class. And that was a year ago. They still will not release my transcripts which has put me behind in my college career. They schools not be called a Christian college if they cannot even live by what the Bible has to say. If I was able to take it all back and not go there I would in a heartbeat. I am warning you if you are thinking about going DONT DO IT!!!!” —Gavin Bufford (2017), abused former PCC student“I'm a 2018 graduate of PCC and I went here for all 4 years. It's really sad that this place calls itself Christian, its legalistic places like pcc that give Christians a bad name. They do have a lot of rules regulating most areas of life. I was treated very poorly and rude by several "Christians" on staff and faculty and I saw many of my friends treated the same way. I've personally seen people who were once people I would hang out with, when given positions of leadership become legalistic monsters taking joy in getting as many students in trouble as possible, and this is done in the name of Christ! As a student you are guilty until proven innocent and can be kicked out just because someone accuses you of something.” —Nick Harrison (2019), a mistreated PCC alumni“It is NOT a friendly environment. All they care about is rules instead of encouraging and building you up in your Christian walk.” —Hannah Elizabeth Kirchhoff (December 2022), mistreated former PCC student“They call themselves Christians, but Christians are supposed to show compassion and patience.” —Angela (January 2023), mistreated former PCC student“In retrospect, I thank God for not having the opportunity to attend here (Pensacola Christian College) and myself for not making the decision to enroll.” —Richard Deuto (January 2023)“Crackpot unaccredited school.” —Meryl Montgomery (November 2022)
In case you didn't know, PCC are ruthless! They and their thug lawyers go after anybody who criticize them, if there is any way they can silence former cult victims. PCC even sued one of their own disgruntled graduates for $100,000, for exposing what really goes on at the institution. The bullies at PCC won! Whereas PCC could simply contact me and we could become friends, they hate my guts so much that they refuse to communicate with me as normal people. PCC refuses to forgive me! They refuse to seek reconciliation and restoration. PCC have sinful HUGE egos!!! Since they have tens of thousands of naïve supporters and tens of millions of dollars in filthy lucre, they couldn't care less about the 1% of their wounded victims who fall through the cracks. Do you really want your child to be influenced by these kind of rotten religious people?
Pastor Jeff Redlin and Timothy Zacharias are lawyer type religious bullies, not people-loving men of God. When I attended Campus Church, I wrote numerous emails to Pastor Redlin, sharing my health problems with him. I explained that since 2004 I have suffered in agonizing neck pain every single day of my life, afflicted with cervical stenosis and radiculitis. He couldn't have cared less! I kindly confided in Pastor Redlin that I was divorced, and has lived painful alone for the past 15 years. Again, he couldn't have cared less. I explained that I had moved from Guam to Pensacola in recent months and was still surviving out of a suitcase in a cheap motel on Mobile Highway. Again, Redlin just didn't give a damn about me as a hurting human being, as an individual person. This is unfortunately a pattern at PCC. But don't take my word for it, read what these angry parents from Wisconsin have to say about PCC...
GrassRoots Photo Boards (2018)
I am appalled at the lack of Christian concern on the behalf of PCC for our teen daughter. She works to support herself at college, and locked herself out of her car at the WalMart parking lot at night, after dark. We are in Wisconsin and could not help her. She remembered that she was advised in a meeting at the beginning of each semester to call security if anything happened to her vehicle off campus, "especially young ladies". When she called security, they reminded her that she might have triple A insurance (she doesn't), and gave her the name of a locksmith, which she could not afford. They could offer no other help because "we don't have the resources". With 5000+ students, and a campus church that includes families, it seems there would be some resource that could be brought into play. She found a complete stranger and asked him to break into her car, and he was kind and gracious to her. She never received any follow up call, or the slightest token of concern for her welfare. The world takes care of its own better than that.
Yeah, I felt the same abandoned way. My first day at Campus Church on PCC's campus was July 4th, 2021 at their church picnic. I met Jeff Redlin for the first time and told him that I was sleeping homeless in Walmart's parking lot on Mobile Highway. That cold-hearted pastor just walked away. I know that he heard me, because I saw the startled perplexed look on his face, like he didn't know what to do. I feel exactly the same as those angry parents of a PCC student in Wisconsin. For a church with over 10,000 plus members, and a school with 5,000 plus students, and a church with hundreds of families, a dorm with thousands of rooms during the summertime, and tens of millions of dollars—you'd think that Pastor Redlin could have done something rather than just cruelly walk away.
The Bible says that we ought not just love people with our words, but in deed and truth also. 1st John 3:18, “My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” Every co-called Christian ministry will superficially claim to love people, as does PCC and their Campus Church, but the proof of the pudding is in how they actually treat others. Pastor Jeff Redlin refuses to forgive and allow me to attend Campus Church. He is holding a grudge against me because I preach against the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (which is a cesspool of the heresies of Lordship Salvation, wrong repentance and the Devil's corrupt modern Bible revisions). Sadly, they treat people like garbage at PCC and Jeff Redlin is the primary culprit, hating even his own Christian brother (me). I begged three times in 2022 to please forgive me and just let me come back to Campus Church, but Jeff Redlin and PCC leaders refused, which is why I have dedicated the rest of my life to expose, warn and tell people THE TRUTH about how terrible, cultish and arrogant the PCC camp really is. Remember, people just want to be loved.
The shameful pastors of Camus Church have wickedly berated, shunned and falsely accused me of finding weaknesses in preachers; but THE TRUTH is that I have faithfully contended for the Christian faith. I guarantee you that all of the spiritually dead ministries today, like Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and Pensacola Christian College who sinfully bid them Godspeed, are the money-hungry ones! I triple-dog dare you to prove me wrong! PCC is all about making money, so they avoid any and all controversies. They won't contend for the faith. Even worse, PCC wickedly supports and bids Godspeed to false prophet Ken Ham, who teaches that faith is not enough to get to Heaven! According to Ken Ham and company at Answers-In-Genesis, you must also turn away from your evil ways to be saved. PCC honors, promote and invites this false prophet to speak at Campus Church. Why? 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
There are multiple reason why parents ought not send or pay for their son or daughter to attend Pensacola Christian College. They simply don't genuinely care about your child, nor anyone for that matter. The cult SYSTEM always comes first at PCC, individual people do not matter! Send your child there and you will see, and rue the day you don't heed my wise advice.
But in my humble opinion the main reason why you shouldn't send your child to PCC, is simply because of their woeful lack of genuine love and compassion for individual people. PCC throws people under the bus in a heartbeat, for every little reason. If you have ever had the unpleasant experience of dealing with thug lawyers, then you understand what PCC is like. Lawyers as a general rule ignore people. They don't return your phone calls. They don't give a damn about your feelings. Lawyers in general are very cold-hearted people, as are the cold-hearted people at PCC and Campus Church (which is not a real New Testament Bible church).
You'd be MUCH better off sending your child to Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, Kentucky, where they still believe and teach that the King James Bible is INSPIRED. Did you know that PCC denies that the King James Bible is inspired? It is 100% true! PCC and Bob Jones University deny that we have a perfect and inspired Bible translation today. SHAME on PCC and BJU!!! I firmly believe that we have God's holy, infallible, incorruptible, inerrant, preserved and inspired, Word today in the blessed KING JAMES BIBLE!!!!!!!
If you care more about your child making money and securing a career in life, than you do about their spiritual condition down the road, you are a fool of fools! When your son or daughter graduates from PCC, they will be nothing more than a cold-hearted educated snob! I know that because that is the kind of horrible leaders and staff that PCC hires and infects with their own cultish brand of religious heathendom.
Only cults forbid people (like they are doing me) from attending church. A true Bible believing church with a genuine man of God would welcome everyone to come to church. Only a cult selectively cares about only certain people (those who have money and suck up to PCC's haughty leaders and pastors). Please don't send your child to this terrible cesspool of iniquity at PCC Mom and Dad. Your child deserves so much better! At Commonwealth Baptist College, your child will have the golden opportunity to serve in a city-wide church Bus Ministry. PCC doesn't have a Bus Ministry, they don't even have a real church!!! It is a circus, with clowns for pastors, and PCC's shameful leaders are the ringleaders of the 3-ring circus. The students are the animals, manipulated and displayed only for the benefit of the circus.
The pulpit at PCC's Campus Church is dead, because it's horrible carnal pastors do not walk with God. They couldn't preach their way out of a paperbag. Timothy Zacharias (Jeff Redlin's sidekick) has a bad temper and has no business being a pastor. He is a disgrace to the clergy. So also is Pastor Jeff Redlin a disgrace to the clergy and the cause of Jesus Christ. All they care about in the PCC camp is making more money and paying their bills, but people are expendable, which is why they refuse to let me come back to Campus Church. I cannot warn parents enough to avoid putting your child under the creepy cult influence of these rotten people, unless you want your child to also become a spiritually dysfunctional misfit and casualty to Christendom. People just want to be loved!
